Thanks Tom! I've been experimenting with brick patterns and special graphics for several years. I now have something I'm happy with and can 3D laser efficiently enough to go commercial. Here are some quick shots of the new Gas Station kit demo. The shell motif over the door, and the roof are also 3D laser engraved parts. I'll have it on my table at the Expo. (Mailbox is separate item)

Thanks for looking!
Dave

Hey Jim, sorry you can't make it, Jaime will cover the event for you with photos.

Here's one more photo, the pumps are also made from laser cut pieces and include decals and clear glazing over the indicator panel. They are based on a 1948 prototype in use through the 70s.

By the way, these are brush painted with craft store acrylics. Didn't want to use the airbrush for a mini project so I tried the old timers' method of light buffing with fine steel wool between thin brush coats, then finishing with clear laquer from a rattlecan. I think it worked as well as airbrushing.

Thanks for looking!

Does the kit come with those tent oil racks? I recall them at every gas station when I was a kid.

Cool kit. I'm anxious to study it at The EXPO.

To tell you the truth, they look better than a spray job. Are you going to make pumps from an earlier era, the station is appropriate for either.

Here's a fun little detail set, coincidentally appropriate for the Halloween season. Ed Fulasz gave me the idea for these window cats, a little silhouette to put behind the window glass. He said they'd look cool and he was right! The cat is invisible until the interior lights switch on. I'm offering a set of 7 different cats, in both HO and O scale. $6.25 and $6.95.

I'll put the gas station up shortly. Thanks for looking!

Just a note to let everyone know my neighborhood will be without power for probably a few days. Freak Blizzard before Halloween knocked over trees and took out power. Only able to run on a generator for a little while. So orders will ship but might be a little slow, and I can't respond promptly to emails. Crazy weather!
