I've gotten the angle irons from some tool place on line--I'll have to try to check where when I'm home. They were MUCH cheaper and came in larger sizes as well--one I ordered is 6 inches wide and VERY heavy.

Hi Norm:

Here's my Palmer Ice from the test fit. I also included the sign I used.

Ditto what David said! Nice! Thanks for adding to the post, Karl.

I got my walls painted, my trim and windows/door painted - walls: Delta Ceramcoat Tomato Spice, trim/windows/door - Delta Ceramcoat White, foundation and slabs, Woodland Scenics Concrete. I put away for a bit, to say goodbye to my daughter. :( Will hopefully get back at it on Monday. No pix of my colors because m wife packed the camera... will try to scarf my daughter's ancient Olympus 4MP camera and post tomorrow.

Thanks for the sign, Karl. I ordered the angle plates from Enco. There was a thread on this in January http://www.kitforums.com/viewtopic.php? ... 15&start=0

Hi Everyone:

you are all quite welcome. You know how I like cool signs. I used Zinc Chromate for the walls and SAC bomber green for the roof.

Here's what I got done in front of the tube, in between naps (got to love Sundays!).

Painted and waiting for weathering

Not much further... everything was painted yesterday, as I posted. Today, it was filing the excess glue away, putting on the 1/16" trim (ran out of it too!), the big ICE HOUSE sign (that hopefully will look painted on (after weathering), and the nail holes. Still not very good at that. The red is showing a little deeper/brighter in these pixes, with the overhead incandescent lighting and a crappy camera/flash combo (old Olympus Stylus 500 (5MP - goofed and said it was 4MP yesterday - Oops)). Now, I hurry up and wait for the UPS man to cometh tomorrow afternoon with my Micro Mark "present". I have the sponge cut & ready to try the Poly Scale Earth paint & sponge as a weathering technique. Also ordered some 1/16" stripwood to finish up on this one, then add some to the M.O.W. #CR5 around the doorway (ran out there too - Hint, Hint Doug: Add another strip of 1/16" to the quick kits! :D ).

More to follow hopefully tomorrow night. I'll try to post some piccies of all the kits I'm working on over the next few days...
