Hello everyone! I have admired the work on this forum for some time. I decided that it was time to go from "lurker" to "member". After a long hiatus, I have started building structures again. I currently do not have a layout, but enjoy scratch building and kitbashing. Everyone keep up the great work! It is inspirational to see the work of such fine craftsman.

10 year old grandson said on Christmas day" MOM said you have an attic full of trains" 30 kits from the 70's, old brass. track and switches. All have been inventoried. Went to a hobby shop yesterday for the ultimate Rip Van Winkle experience since the last time I was in one was in 1977. Came home with modern adhesives and an armload of books and mags. Spent the night dreaming. HOn3 is the gauge and the basement gets cleaned tomorrow. Next Saturday is model railroad university and my NMRA membership is in the works. Now to scenery for my second post.

Perhaps the forum admin is asleep at the keyboard. I believe once a new member joins it requires admin approval before posts posts without being approved.

Rumor has it if a new member's first few posts sing the praises of Railroad Kits' offerings the approval process goes by lickety split.
