Re: Porcupine Valley Builders Association

Actually I am glad you asked, since now I feel I have a much better design plan. Your question made me re-think the whole plan and that is good. Thanks :D

Re: Porcupine Valley Builders Association

Sometimes it gets tough to try to share a concept with fellow modelers, but if I waited until I had finished the project, then somebody would say, I should have shown it being built. I am not happy with the benches that are on the scene now either and they will be replaced with something much bigger...

Re: Porcupine Valley Builders Association

Rebel - You made a good point, stating how much space this will take. That is why it is not something you see very often on layouts, let alone on a module layout. That is also why I wanted to include it into the Porcupine Valley module project, since any good company town should have an area like th...

Re: Porcupine Valley Builders Association

Now the Spring has finally sprung here in the Porcupine Valley, Toivo and Eino have been busy working on the Baseball Park. There is still a lot of work to do, but at least they have the playing field all scaled out and are getting ready to lay sod and infield sand. They are shooting for having it r...

Re: Porcupine Valley Builders Association

Well, who would of guessed that situation was nothing more than a standard fire prevention inspection, required by all new buildings in the Porcupine Valley, prior to getting their license to operate a business in the valley. They startled everybody because they came with the fire trucks and dressed...

Re: Porcupine Valley Builders Association

I had been so excited about being able to show a photo of the new building on the block, but I was able to get a picture as the Porcupine Valley Fire Department arrived on the scene. There is a news blackout on what happened here until after the Fire Marshal completes his investigation. Stay tuned ....

Re: New Project

My wife will attest that I am not often at a loss for words, however in this case, no words seem correct enough. First I was caught by the tear in the screen door, but when I saw the cleaning cart, I could not believe my eyes. You have not just raised the bar, you have blown the lid off the meaning ...

Re: Porcupine Valley Builders Association

Thanks John and that is a nice comment from a Superior Railroad. Looking closer at the Greg design, I got even more excited as I noticed that with the second level loop we will be able to turn trains around and now we will be able to know when we are coming and going . . Cool! Greg asked that I find...

Re: Porcupine Valley Builders Association

Working with Greg DeMayo as a member of the Porcupine Valley Builders Association, has so far been a Hoot and a Half. Being the professional builder and all, he was able to make some sense of my addition drawings, but was sure that I was not doing enough with the area allowed. To show me the error o...

Re: The Superior and Seattle Railroad Build

Oh the old "Money Honey Game," yes I know that one. Things are a little different here. My wife is on the roads, criss-crossing both Michigan and Wisconsin and is only home five to six days a month. So I get to do just about everything around here, and have to keep things ship shape, for i...
