Jaime,
Tell us about the panoramas. Did you use a "stitching" program?

Re: HAPPY LABOR DAY 2010! Monday, 6 Sep 2010

DaKra's bagels look nice but not very filling. I need a BIG bagel this morning (preferably from Newman's Bakery in Swampscott, MA) and have a stash in my freezer. Sesame please, I'm hungry! Next weekend is the annual pig roast at the rod & gun club. I'm starting the planning today and the cookin...

Re: THIN CAST PLASTER MOLDING

Rebel, There's no need for me to reply if your castings came out great. It must be working for you! I used to use plastic window screen in my thin (1/4") retaining wall castings. I did it in two pours - placing the screen like bologna in a sandwich - pour a little plaster, place the screen and ...

Re: Narrow Gauge Friday

0602.jpg View from the hospital window. Look at the colors and textures, they're great! We're ready for the "Hurricane Party." We set-up last night. The garage is decorated, the poker tables set-up, the beer's been iced down, the batteries charged on the iPod, the buffet table set, the wi...

Re: Ground Goop

Ground goop contains vermiculite, which contains air borne asbestos. I wouldn't want to have this around my house after witnessing my son's bout with asbestos-induced cancer. I'd use Sculptamold. It has all the same properties plus it sets in 30 minutes and dries hard, lightweight and flexible overn...

Re: Narrow Gauge Thursday

Jimmy called last night night from the convention hotel. He was heading out for dinner and asked about McRib sandwiches. He wanted to know if they were any good. I couldn't answer except to say they're made from compressed pork scraps and trimmings that have been spray-painted with the grill marks. ...

Re: Narrow Gauge Wednesday

They've changed the swine flu pandemic center and senior cooling area to the Hurricane Earl safe haven and shelter. The water and cots are still in place from the last hurricane scare in 2006. One dim-bulb TV commentator standing knee deep in water on South Cape Beach declared that "officials&q...

Re: 2010 National Narrow Gauge Convention

Jaime,
How about a few close-ups of Scott's airbrushing technique? Or, Hal waving his arms around while demonstrating his Turbo Tree. Or, Jimmy trying to stay awake...

Thanks.

Re: Dave Frary Jr.

I spent the day yesterday at the hospital. They moved David from the ICU to a private room. He's still in a lot of pain but can manage it himself. They untied his hands to allow him to push the pain button when needed. He's awake and fairly alert but still can't eat or drink anything. We had a nice ...
